PITTSBURGH, PA – Get ready for a scream-worthy update! Aethon Books has snapped up horror powerhouse Wicked House, transforming it into a fierce new imprint of Aethon. With over 50 spine-chilling titles—like Blain Daigle’s The Broken Places and Duncan Ralston’s Puzzle House—Wicked House has already made its mark in the horror universe.
Now, it’s gearing up for a new chapter. Aethon’s seasoned teams, alongside Vault Comics CEO Damian Wassel, Fright Night Audio founder Joe Hempel, and veteran horror editor Andrew Najberg, will lead the charge. Wicked House founder Patrick Reumen, stepping down but proud of his legacy, expressed excitement that his creation will be “honored and carried forward.”
Aethon’s CEO Rhett Bruno revealed the master plan: “We’re leveraging Aethon’s resources to amplify what Patrick built—delivering more gripping, blood-pumping horror tales.” President Steve Beaulieu added, “Wicked House perfectly complements our niche in horror, especially through our partnership with Vault Comics.”
Joe Hempel, riding high after making Fright Night Audio one of the top horror audiobook brands, declared, “Joining Wicked House feels like the perfect move. We’re aiming to make Wicked House THE destination for horror authors at every stage of their careers.”

And the horror doesn’t stop there. The pipeline for 2026 and beyond is already bubbling with terrifying new releases, featuring big names and fresh talent alike. Expect titles like Jeff Strand’s Summer Camp Slasher Series, Vol. 1, Ben Farthing’s The Glitched House, Vol. 1, Blaine Daigle’s Porcelain Lullaby, John Durgin’s I Woke Up A Final Girl, Daniel J Volpe’s Planet Slaughter, Debra Castaneda’s Tormenta, James Kaine’s The Final Final Girl, Timothy King’s We Were Never Really Friends, and many more.
